Dr. Barron was born in Mexico City and raised in Seattle, Washington. His experiences growing up as an immigrant inspired him to dedicate his career to expanding opportunities for people from all backgrounds. He has designed and launched leadership and professional education programs in partnership with major universities, corporations, and foundations, including JP Morgan and the Gates Foundation. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) Foundation, where he leads initiatives to broaden access to careers in the commercial real estate industry. Dr. Barron holds a master’s degree from Harvard University and a Ph.D. from the University of Washington, where he also lectures on leadership and entrepreneurship.
